Welcome to Create Your Laptop Life.
We are a group of entrepreneurs who work and live…right from our laptops.
We don’t have traditional 9-5 jobs, and we don’t want them, because financial + lifestyle freedom is too important to us. Because we don’t work the corporate grind, we get to be the boss of our own schedule, take vacations whenever we want, and make our work revolve around life, not the other way around.
Most of our old bosses scoff at our plans, sure we’ll be crawling back for a job within a month’s time, but it won’t happen. Because we know the world is changing, for good – and the freelance economy is the new cleaner, greener, smarter way to work – for both families and businesses.
Here are the people that keep this group, tribe, and company alive!
Julie Stoian – Owner & CEO
It’s taken me a long time to come to terms with the fact that I’m addicted to challenge. The harder a problem, the more I want to solve it. This may be the only way to explain the other issue I have…which is…I have too many projects on my plate at one time, always.
But let me back up a minute. My name is Julie, and I am the owner of Create Your Laptop Life™. Here’s the part where I say I’m a “consultant” or a “coach” or a “designer” or a “marketer” or a “sales funnel strategist”, but I’m having a hard time with one word.
In essence, I’m potentially your new best friend, or your worst nightmare.
If you hang out with me, you’ll never be bored. I love to educate people about tech, marketing, and online business. Right now, I primarily teach and mentor business owners in the art and science of Digital Marketing here at Create Your Laptop Life™. I also oversee and run a thriving 500 member paid community (and to get a taste you can join our free 11,000+ version on Facebook here).
The long and short of it is… I teach business owners how to market themselves online, make money, and live big, bold, and brave lives.
I’m available for coaching, mentorship, and speaking opportunities but…You should know…I wear purple crocs everyday to keep me grounded in reality.
Sales + Marketing Manager
I’m the resident techie.
I shine in tech and digital marketing strategy. ClickFunnels is my specialty and my dreams at night consist of sales funnel designs and beautifully detailed checklists.
I spent six years as a middle school teacher and became known for my integration of technology in the classroom. I served on the district tech committee and committed myself to teaching both students and teachers alike the power of technology in our world.
I’ve been able to transfer my passion for tech and education to the freelance world.
I not only build funnels, but teach others how to do so as well.
Around Create Your Laptop Life, you’ll find me knee-deep in all things technology and digital marketing. You’ll also see me supporting Julie in the Sales Funnel Masterminds and instructing others in video tutorials and 1:1 training. I’m thrilled to be a part of such an incredible community.
I am a numbers and systems geek with a calm and steady presence.
My area of expertise is bookkeeping for online service-based entrepreneurs. Being both an online entrepreneur and a bookkeeper has enabled me to see just how valuable accurate financial data is to a growing business.
So my main goal is to support small business owners in making more informed business decisions by providing them with accurate and easy-to-read financial data.
After three years of working in office settings, I learned about “Virtual Assistants” in August of 2016 and was blessed to find Create Your Laptop Life in November 2016.
Being a part of Create Your Laptop Life helped me establish my online business and build valuable, meaningful connections with fellow online entrepreneurs.
It is a community I believe wholeheartedly in, so when I had the opportunity to join Julie’s team in March 2017 of course I said yes!
I handle all things money related for Create Your Laptop Life. I love working each day with the amazing people that make up this community and I truly feel blessed to be a part of it.
Community + Support Manager
I am the Jack-lyn of all trades when it comes to the community.
After hoarding course after course, I stumbled upon Virtual Assisting in January 2017. Three months later, I was able to leave my 9-5 and Live that Laptop Life. I worked the “cubicle” for almost 12 years until I took the leap to live my passion full-time.
At a young age I knew “cubicle” life wasn’t for me. I found my passion in serving others as a makeup artist and hair stylist dolling up brides for their special day to assisting business owners grow their businesses so they can focus on their clients.
One post literally changed my life and that was Julie’s post that she was HIRING! The rest was history…
Create Your Laptop Life has changed my life. The amazing team I work with, immediately became family. And to work for someone that has a passion for helping others and knows her SH*T is the definition of an IDEAL client! On top of that, the CYLL Network and the people I have connected with IS the support system that I have needed but could never find. I am forever grateful to be part of this community.
If you have any questions I am here to assist you via email at email@example.com or tag me in our Facebook Group and I will get back to you right away.
Co-Founder + Private Coach
I started my Freelance business after my third major burn out before the age of 30. I was exhausted and miserable working a corporate career that was taking me nowhere (fun!). I realized that the ladder I was climbing was not on the right wall. There are a lot of details to consider when starting up my freelance business: tracking finances, sorting out how to get ready for tax time, time management, automation processes, sorting out how to communicate with clients online. And what I noticed was how flippin’ good at it I was.
Helping freelancers get a business set up professionally, and land their first clients exhilarates me. I’m the kind of mentor who will cheer wildly when you take what I’ve taught you and go further than even I am right now! I love sharing my knowledge and experience with others in an authentic and professional way. In my spare time I spend time focusing on my family – my husband Jarrett and our two corgis. Oh, and my garden too.
